Welcome to the Tech Delusion (For those who still think tech is glamorous.)

I’ve worked in this industry long enough to know one thing: behind every shiny keynote and “we’re changing the world” slogan, there’s a Slack channel full of chaos, politics, and performative leadership.

Everyone’s building “the future,” but somehow, the future always looks suspiciously like a prettier version of the same bullshit.

You meet the visionary CEOs who talk about “innovation,” then spend two hours debating the company’s new tote bag design.

You meet the empathetic leaders who post about mental health on LinkedIn, right after they’ve quietly laid off half the team.

You meet the flat organizations that brag about “no hierarchy,” which really just means no one wants to take responsibility.

And the funniest part?

Everyone still calls it culture.

Maybe it’s time we stop romanticizing this industry and start calling it what it is –
a perfectly packaged delusion, wrapped in buzzwords and self-congratulation.

This season, I’m not sugarcoating it.

No PR tone, no polished leadership talk.

Just the truth – unfiltered, uncomfortable, and way overdue.

Welcome to Truthful Fridays: The Tech Industry Delusion.

Let’s burn some sacred cows.
